Choosing a detergent
To be satin bed linen, you can use any special tool, although the best is still not a powder, but a gel. But the main condition here is that it does not contain alkalis and other aggressive substances that can damage the fibers of the fabric or make the pattern more faded.
Also, the right decision would be to choose a product for colored or light fabrics, which is easy to read on the packaging, and use one or the other depending on the color of the bed linen. The use of fabric softeners and fragrances is also allowed. Your underwear will smell incredibly delicious!
Preparing laundry for washing
Actually this is a very important point. And it must be taken into account. Well, the first thing to do is turn the duvet cover and pillowcases inside out. First of all, it will protect the delicate front surface from friction with the washing machine drum. And secondly, this is what will help to avoid zipper hooks. In any case, this is not at all difficult to do, it’s a matter of a couple of minutes.
And of course, separate colored and white satin to wash them separately. And also do not put in the washer along with synthetic, which has stiffer and coarser fibers of the fabric.

The most important thing begins! But this is nothing complicated. The main rule is that the water temperature should not exceed 40 * C. As for the washing mode, it is exclusively “For delicate items” or “Hand wash”.
Spin should also be set to minimum. Ideally 400-600 rpm.
The only thing is that if the fabric is dense, more than 210 g / m2, which can be read on the label, then you can increase the speed to 800, but not more.

Proper drying of satin bed linen
It is recommended to dry satin bedding outdoors or in well-ventilated areas, for example, on a balcony. Due to the fact that the material is highly hygroscopic and quickly absorbs excess moisture even from the air. Accordingly, it will dry and stagnate for a long time.
At the same time, drying clothes in a washing machine or a special dryer is not recommended. Instead, it is better to hang it correctly in a straightened state. Here you should not save on the length of the rope, this is not the case.
- Steam your laundry to make it easier to iron.
- The temperature of the iron should be set to the minimum or slightly higher.
- It will be better to iron from the inside, so as not to damage the front side in case of something.
Saving your favorite set correctly
Storage of satin bed linen is another important point in caring for it. Consider this. After all, to a certain extent it depends on how much more, and how much longer it will please you.
Only completely dry products are required to be placed in the cabinet. Why, after ironing or after you just folded it, the linen should rest. And at the same time, ventilate so that excess moisture completely goes.
Store laundry only in the driest room. As you already know, natural cotton fibers quickly absorb even the slightest moisture and pathogenic bacteria can form there.
Avoid the appearance of foreign odors in the closet, which satin takes on no worse than the same moisture.
